In this session, we will discuss brain development by learning about the main parts of the brain and its primary functions critical to early development using a hand model of the brain. We will explore the basics of how trauma impacts children's functioning in the short and long term. Emphasis will be placed on frameworks and practical strategies for ourselves and children to feel safer and manage difficult emotions and behaviors.
